Port Mapper shows a status for each rule so you can see whether the port is currently published.
Status meanings
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Port Mapper has not received a final result for this rule yet. |
| Publishing | Port Mapper is currently applying your enabled rules. |
| Mapping | The rule is being published. |
| Mapped | The rule was published successfully. |
| Unmapped | The rule is enabled, but Port Mapper could not publish it. |
| Disabled | The rule is turned off and Port Mapper will not publish it. |
Refresh mappings
Click the Refresh button in the toolbar to ask Port Mapper to check and publish your rules again.
Refresh is useful after:
- Changing router settings.
- Changing network connections.
- Starting the app, game, or server you want to expose.
- Seeing a rule stuck in a pending or unmapped state.
Re-publish ports from the menu
You can also re-publish your enabled rules from the menu bar:
- Open Port Mapper.
- Choose Troubleshooting in the menu bar.
- Choose Re-Publish Ports.
You can also use the keyboard shortcut Command + Option + P.
