Whether you want to add a location to a photo that doesn't have one or change an existing one, MetadataFx gives you several options.
- Select the photo(s) or video(s) you want to edit.
- From the main editing menu, tap "Edit Location".
- You can set the location in one of five ways:
- Search for an Address: Type a street name, city, or landmark into the search bar at the top and tap the magnifying glass icon. The map will move to that location.
- Use the Map: Pinch to zoom and drag the map with your finger. The location will be set to the point directly under the crosshair in the center of the screen.
- Use Your Current Location: Tap the location button (a circle with a location arrow) in the bottom-right corner of the map. The app will ask for permission and then pinpoint your current location.
- Enter Coordinates Manually: Type the exact latitude and longitude into the text fields below the map. Tap the pencil icon to update the map.
- Read from Clipboard: If you have copied coordinates (for example, from Apple Maps), tap the "Read Coordinates from Clipboard" button to paste them in automatically.
- After setting your desired location, tap the "Save Changes" button.
