Image Converter is a macOS app for converting images locally on your Mac. It supports converting one image at a time or converting multiple images in bulk.
Choose a mode
Use the selector at the top of the app window to switch between:
- Single: Convert one image and choose where to save it.
- Bulk: Convert multiple images into a destination folder.
Supported image formats
Image Converter supports these formats:
- PNG
- JPG and JPEG
- TIFF and TIF
- GIF
- BMP
- JP2
Default output format
The default output format is PNG. You can choose a different output format before converting.
How images are handled
Images are processed locally on your Mac. The app reads the original image, creates a converted copy, and saves the converted output to the location you choose.
Your original image files are not changed during normal use. The converted files are saved separately.
Basic workflow
- Choose Single or Bulk.
- Add one or more images by dragging them into the app or clicking the empty drop area.
- Choose the output format.
- Click the convert button.
- Choose where to save the converted image or images when prompted.
