Chessic is designed to keep your games on your devices and in your own iCloud. This article explains what Chessic stores and where. The Chessic privacy policy is the authoritative legal document.
No Ads and No Tracking
Chessic has no ads and does not track you across apps or websites.
What Chessic Stores
- Progress and settings: forge unlocks, audio settings, and similar preferences are stored on your device.
- Record and statistics: stored on your device and, when you are signed in to iCloud, synced through your own iCloud account so your other devices can show them.
- Game history and replays: stored only on the device where you played. They are not synced.
Your record, statistics, and history are not sent to Bitten Apps.
Game Center
Duels, leaderboards, achievements, and your duel rating use Apple's Game Center. During a duel, Chessic exchanges game information with your opponent's device, such as your score, your duel rating, and the forge you chose. Your Game Center name, scores, and achievements are visible to other players according to your Game Center settings. Chessic does not store Game Center player identifiers in your game history.
Purchases
Chessic Unlimited is purchased through Apple's App Store. Chessic uses RevenueCat to confirm the purchase on your devices. Chessic never sees your payment details.
Sharing
When you share a Play of the Game, Chessic creates a picture of the play with the forge, result, and date. It does not include player names. You choose where it is sent.
Deleting Your Data
- Record, statistics, and history: choose Records > Reset Record. This clears them on all your devices.
- Individual games: open a game in History and choose Delete.
- Everything on a device: delete Chessic from the device.
- Game Center data: manage it in your Game Center settings.
