PDF Split & Merge is a macOS app for splitting PDF documents and creating new PDFs from PDFs and image files.
What you can do
- Split a PDF into separate PDF files.
- Export PDF pages as image files.
- Export all pages, one page, or a page range.
- Merge a selected PDF page range into one new PDF.
- Create one PDF from multiple PDFs and supported image files.
- Reorder, sort, remove, or clear files before creating a PDF.
Main sections
The app has two sections in the sidebar:
- Split PDF: Use this when you want to extract pages from an existing PDF.
- Create / Merge PDF: Use this when you want to combine PDFs and images into one PDF.
Adding files
You can add files in two ways:
- Click Choose PDF... or Add Files....
- Drag files into the drop area in the app window.
Where files are saved
When you click Split PDF..., Split and Merge PDF..., or Create PDF..., the app asks you where to save the result. The app does not automatically overwrite files unless you choose an existing file name in the save dialog and confirm the replacement in macOS.
