The Auto-merge range into one PDF option lets you extract a page range and save it as a single new PDF.
When to use this
Use this option when you want to create a smaller PDF from part of a larger document, such as pages 3 through 8 of a report.
Create one PDF from a page range
- Open PDF Split & Merge.
- Select Split PDF in the sidebar.
- Click Choose PDF..., or drag a PDF into the drop area.
- Under Export, choose PDF files.
- Under Pages, choose Page range.
- Enter the From and To page numbers.
- Turn on Auto-merge range into one PDF.
- Click Split and Merge PDF....
- Choose a file name and save location.
Default file name
The save dialog suggests a name based on the original PDF and selected range, such as:
Document - Pages 3-8.pdf
Important notes
- Auto-merge is available only when exporting as PDF files.
- Auto-merge does not apply to image exports.
- The page range must be valid and within the document page count.
