Open Settings from Home, or from the match menu during a match. Changes take effect right away and never affect the result of a match.
Feedback
- Sound effects: short cues for drops, coin collisions, scoring, the start of a match, and the result. On iPhone and iPad, sounds follow the silent switch and mix with other audio. Turning sound on plays a short preview.
- Haptics (iPhone and iPad): light taps for drops and settles, and a stronger response at the end of a match on supported devices.
Coindrel's sounds are short effects. The app has no background music.
Matches
- Play of the Game: replays the match's best drop before the results. On by default. When it is off, the results still show the play with a Watch button.
Accessibility
- Reduce motion: uses restrained board transitions, such as crossfades instead of moving reveals. When Reduce Motion is on in the system's accessibility settings, Coindrel follows it and shows this option as on.
- Accessible layout: a spacious, scrollable match screen with eight large drop buttons in place of the slide-to-aim strip. Sliding on the board and the Mac number keys still work.
VoiceOver
- Each entry is a named drop button, and the selected entry is announced.
- Turn changes are announced when the board settles.
- Use the board's Read the board action, or Board Details in the match menu, to hear every switch, resting coin, hole location, and exit value as text. Solo and Pass & Play matches stay paused while Board Details is open; online and nearby clocks keep running.
- When coins pass through a hole, VoiceOver describes where they went, just as a sighted player would see it. Hole connections are never listed in advance.
Text size
Menus and match text follow your preferred text size on iPhone and iPad. At the largest accessibility sizes, the match screen scrolls and shows the large drop buttons.
Keyboard Shortcuts
On Mac, and on iPad with a keyboard:
- 1–8: drop in that entry (Mac)
- Command-Comma (⌘,): Settings
- Escape: open the match menu; press again to resume
- Command-Question Mark (⌘?): How to Play, from Home
- Escape, Space, or Return: skip the Play of the Game
Replay shortcuts are listed in the Record, Statistics, and Match History article.
iPad and Mac Layouts
iPhone plays in portrait. iPad supports every orientation, and Mac windows can be resized. On larger windows, menus spread into two columns and each player's panel sits beside the board. On Mac, Coindrel uses a single game window.
Version
The Coindrel version and build number appear at the bottom of Settings. Include them when you contact support.
