Seed Truck is a native remote manager for Transmission and qBittorrent on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch. It connects to torrent clients that you operate and lets you monitor and manage their transfers.
Seed Truck does not provide a torrent service, search or index content, or download torrent payloads directly to your Apple device. Transfers and downloaded files remain on the configured torrent server.
Requirements
- iPhone or iPad running iOS/iPadOS 17 or later
- Mac running macOS 14 or later
- Apple Watch running watchOS 10 or later
- Transmission 4.1 or later using JSON-RPC 2.0, or qBittorrent 5 or later
- The address and any credentials required by your torrent client
Quick Setup Guide
Step 1: Add a server
- iPhone or iPad: Open the Settings tab, choose Servers, and choose Add Server.
- Mac: Open Seed Truck settings, choose Servers, and choose the Add Server button.
Step 2: Enter the connection details
- Name: Enter a unique name that identifies the server.
- Type: Choose Transmission or qBittorrent.
- Endpoint: Enter the complete HTTP or HTTPS address required for that client.
- Username and Password: Enter both when authentication is required, or leave both empty.
For Transmission, enter the full JSON-RPC endpoint, such as http://server.local:9091/transmission/rpc. For qBittorrent, enter the Web UI base URL, such as http://server.local:8080.
Step 3: Test and save
Choose Test Connection to check the current details. Correct any reported issue, then save the server. Testing is optional and does not save the server by itself.
Step 4: Open Torrents
Open Torrents to load the selected server. If multiple servers are configured, use the server selector to switch between them.

Using Multiple Apple Devices
Seed Truck stores server records in Apple's synchronizable Keychain. Compatible devices using the same Apple Account can receive those records when Keychain synchronization is available and enabled. Synchronization timing is controlled by Apple.
The refresh interval and torrent sorting preferences are stored separately on each device.
