Seed Truck manages the transfers reported by the selected remote torrent client. It does not maintain a separate local torrent library.
Start and Pause
A stopped torrent offers Start. A torrent that is active, queued, or verifying offers Pause.
- iPhone or iPad: Swipe a torrent row or open Torrent Details.
- Mac: Use the row's context menu, the Torrent menu, or Torrent Details.
- Apple Watch: Open the torrent's details.
On Mac, Start uses Command-Shift-R and Pause uses Command-Shift-P for the selected torrent.
Retry a Failed Action
If an action fails, Seed Truck keeps the current torrent data and displays the server's error. Open Torrent Details and use the retry action shown under Action Failed.
Remove Torrent and Keep Files
Remove Torrent and Keep Files removes the torrent job from the selected remote client but asks the client to leave its downloaded files on disk.
Review the confirmation, including the torrent name and size, then choose Remove and Keep Files.
Remove Torrent and Delete Files
Remove Torrent and Delete Files removes the torrent job and asks the selected remote client to permanently delete its downloaded files.
Review the confirmation carefully, then choose Remove and Delete Files. This cannot be undone by Seed Truck.
Choosing the Safe Removal Option
If you are unsure which files belong to the torrent or want to retain them for another purpose, choose Remove Torrent and Keep Files.
The result of file deletion depends on the remote client's permissions and storage configuration. Seed Truck sends the selected policy to that client.
What Removal Does Not Delete
Removing a torrent does not delete:
- The saved server configuration in Seed Truck
- The original
.torrentdocument opened from Files or Finder - The same torrent if it was separately added to another configured server
Deleting a Saved Server Is Different
Deleting a server from Settings > Servers removes only its saved connection information from Seed Truck. It does not contact the client or remove its torrents and files.
