The Apple Watch companion connects directly to torrent servers saved by Seed Truck. It can monitor transfers and perform individual start, pause, and removal actions.
Make Servers Available to Apple Watch
Configure at least one server using Seed Truck on your iPhone. Server records are stored as synchronizable Keychain items, including the endpoint, credentials, and custom headers required to connect.
Confirm that the iPhone and Apple Watch use the same Apple Account and that Keychain synchronization is available. Apple controls synchronization timing.
There is no separate Apple Watch Sync setting or manual server-sync button. The watch reloads available server records when it appears and when it becomes active.
Choose a Server
If one server is available, Seed Truck opens it directly. If multiple servers are available, choose one from Servers.
If no records are available, the watch shows No servers! and asks you to configure a server using your iPhone.
Monitor Transfers
The watch fetches the selected server's torrents while the app is active and repeats the request every 10 seconds. This interval does not use the refresh preference selected on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
Torrents are shown by name in ascending order. Each row can show the torrent name, progress, status, and active transfer rates. The status display shows the selected server's combined download and upload speeds.
If the first request fails, use Retry. After a previous successful load, a refresh error preserves the old results and offers Showing previous results. Retry.
Manage a Torrent
Choose a torrent to open Torrent Details.
- A stopped torrent offers Start.
- An active, queued, or verifying torrent offers Pause.
- Remove Torrent and Keep Files removes the job while asking the client to retain downloaded files.
- Remove Torrent and Delete Files removes the job while asking the client to permanently delete downloaded files.
Both removal choices require confirmation.
Current Apple Watch Limitations
The Apple Watch app does not currently provide:
- Magnet-link entry or
.torrentfile import - Server creation, editing, testing, or deletion
- Global speed-limit settings
- Torrent search, filters, or sort controls
- A configurable or manual refresh control
Network Access
The watch sends requests directly to the synchronized server endpoint instead of relaying them through the paired iPhone. The watch must be able to reach that server over the network.
