Widgets and Apple Watch Access
Widgets and the Apple Watch app require Money Owed Pro. They can show two different Pro access messages:
- If Pro is not active, they show Money Owed Pro Required.
- If Pro access has not yet been verified, a widget asks you to open the main Money Owed app and retry, while the Watch asks you to open Money Owed on iPhone and retry.
Widgets and the Watch hide account names and balances until Pro access is verified. Buy or restore Pro in the main app; the Watch does not include a purchase screen.
Buy Money Owed Pro
- Open Settings.
- Open Money Owed Pro.
- Choose Unlock Money Owed Pro.
- Complete the App Store purchase.
The product title and price are provided by the App Store and may change. Check the app for the current price.
Restore a Purchase
- Sign in to the Apple Account that made the purchase.
- Open Settings > Money Owed Pro.
- Choose Restore Purchases.
Restoring does not require buying Pro again. If the purchase is not found, check the App Store account, network connection, and purchase history, then try again.
Previous Money Owed Customers
If the offer is shown in the app, customers who purchased something in the original Money Owed may be eligible for a free Pro unlock. The offer requires the same Apple Account used for the earlier purchase.
- Open Settings > Money Owed Pro.
- Choose Claim Free Pro Upgrade when it is shown.
- Follow the App Store redemption flow shown by Money Owed.
- Return to Money Owed and allow Pro access to update.
The redemption offer is time-sensitive and may change or be withdrawn. Do not rely on a copied offer code or fixed redemption URL if the current app no longer displays the offer.
If Pro Is Not Recognized
- Wait briefly for the purchase status to update.
- Close and reopen Money Owed.
- Open Settings > Money Owed Pro and choose Restore Purchases.
- Confirm that the App Store account is the one used for purchase.
- Check your network connection and try again later if purchase options are unavailable.
You may see Purchases are unavailable right now, Purchase options couldn't be loaded, or No purchase options are available right now. These messages indicate that App Store purchase options are temporarily unavailable, not that your accounts were deleted.
Existing Pro Content When Pro Access Is Missing
Money Owed avoids trapping existing data when Pro is not currently recognized:
- Existing attachments remain viewable and can be removed when the transaction is otherwise editable.
- Enabled recurring schedules remain visible and continue to be checked. You can disable them, but adding, changing, or re-enabling requires Pro.
- Existing interest schedules remain visible and continue to run. You can disable them, but changing or re-enabling requires Pro.
- Notifications and App Lock can always be turned off.
- New attachments, CSV import, and CSV/PDF export remain unavailable.
- Widgets and the Watch hide account information until Pro access is verified.
