Pro Features Explained
Portfolio Management
Pro users can create and edit accounts, edit cash balances, add and edit activities, delete accounts, delete holdings, delete transactions, and delete cash balance entries directly from Scaryfolio. Account forms also let you choose whether each account shows its cash balance and cash-balance controls. Many edit and delete actions are available from contextual menus: touch and hold on iPhone or iPad, or right-click or Control-click on Mac.
Activity Management
Scaryfolio supports activity types including buy, sell, dividend, interest, fee, liability, and valuable. Forms include date, quantity, unit price or total price, fees, currency, update cash balance where available, and comments where applicable.
Watchlist Management
Pro users can search Ghostfolio symbols and add or remove watchlist items from Scaryfolio. Removing a watchlist item is available from the item's contextual menu.
Apple Watch
Pro unlocks Apple Watch access. Configuration arrives automatically through iCloud for the same Apple Account; no manual transfer from iPhone is needed. If Pro access ends, Watch features become unavailable, but Scaryfolio remains connected on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Widgets
Pro unlocks Scaryfolio widgets. Widgets can show current value, performance metrics, chart data, and FIRE information where available. Open Scaryfolio and refresh portfolio data to update them. Widget configuration is handled from the system widget editor after adding a widget.
Portfolio Allocations
Pro unlocks Portfolio Allocations from the pie-chart button in the Portfolio toolbar. Allocation charts break down the whole portfolio by platform, currency, asset class, holding, sector, continent, market, country, account, and ETF provider, and can show the proportion of net worth. In Settings > Personalization > Allocation Sections, you can show, hide, reorder, and reset the allocation charts. See the Portfolio Allocations article for more detail.
Portfolio Notifications
Pro unlocks local portfolio notifications for 1D, WTD, MTD, and YTD reports. Configure each report in Settings > Notifications with its schedule and delivery options. Background execution and exact delivery timing are controlled by iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.
Portfolio Data Shortcuts
Pro unlocks the Get Portfolio Value, Get Portfolio Gain, Get Portfolio Return, Get Portfolio Currency, and Get Portfolio Currency Symbol actions in Apple Shortcuts, along with Get Account Value, Get Account Gain, Get Account Return, Get Account Currency, and Get Account Currency Symbol. Navigation actions such as Open Portfolio, Open Allocations, Open Accounts, Open Account, Open FIRE Calculator, Open Watchlist, Open Markets, and Open Settings do not require Pro to run, although the destination can contain Pro-gated content.
View Options
Pro unlocks settings such as Investment-Based Returns, Show Net Worth, Exclude Uninvested Cash, Portfolio Chart mode, Show Axis Lines, Portfolio Summary metric customization, Show N/A for Zero Changes, Show N/A for 1D on Weekends, Show Zero Performance Accounts, Show Excluded Accounts, and Show Symbol First.
Portfolio Summary customization lets you choose the two lower metrics shown below your portfolio value, including Range Gain, Range Return, Daily Gain, Daily Return, All-Time Gain, and All-Time Return.
FIRE Calculator
Pro unlocks the FIRE calculator, including monthly savings, annual interest rate, retirement date, safe withdrawal rate, projected total, projected sustainable income, and the FIRE widget.
Personalization
Pro lets you choose an accent color, hide tabs you do not use, hide iPhone tab bar labels, and customize allocation section visibility and order. It also unlocks alternate app icons on iPhone and iPad where alternate icons are supported. At least one main tab must remain enabled.
Portfolio Background Gradient
Pro lets you show or hide the Portfolio background gradient in Settings > View Options. The gradient uses performance colors to tint the dashboard and related chart surfaces.
How to Purchase
- Open Scaryfolio on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
- Open Settings.
- Find the Licence section.
- Select Scaryfolio Pro.
- Complete the App Store purchase.

Pricing
Scaryfolio Pro is available through the App Store with both an annual subscription option and a lifetime license option. Check the purchase screen in the app for current prices and availability in your region.
Tip Jar
Lifetime license holders may see an optional Tip Jar in Settings. The Tip Jar is an extra way to support development and does not unlock additional Pro features. It is not available to active annual subscribers.
Restore Purchases
- Make sure you are signed in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase.
- Open Scaryfolio Settings.
- Tap or click Restore Purchases.
- Wait for the restore to finish.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Pro include Ghostfolio Premium?
No. Scaryfolio Pro unlocks features in Scaryfolio. It does not include or replace any Ghostfolio Cloud plan. Some Ghostfolio Cloud API data may still require Ghostfolio Premium.
Will Pro work on multiple devices?
Purchases are handled by Apple. Use the same Apple ID and Restore Purchases if Pro does not appear on another device.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund.
