Welcome to GameGoblin, a game-library tracker for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. GameGoblin connects your gaming platforms, imports games and progress, and keeps your library organized across your devices.
What is GameGoblin?
GameGoblin brings supported gaming accounts into one library. It can show your games, play activity, achievements or trophies, completion progress, release dates, guides, and platform-specific account metrics.
GameGoblin is an independent app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Steam, Sony, RetroAchievements, Microsoft, or any other provider.
Requirements
- iPhone or iPad running iOS/iPadOS 17 or later, or Mac running macOS 14 or later
- At least one supported gaming platform account
- The ability to sign in to the provider you want to connect
- An Apple Account with iCloud enabled if you want to synchronize data across devices
GameGoblin currently supports Steam, PlayStation, RetroAchievements, and Xbox. One account can be connected for each platform. A free account can connect up to two distinct platforms; connecting a third distinct platform requires GameGoblin Pro.
Quick Setup Guide
Step 1: Install and open GameGoblin
Install GameGoblin from the App Store and open it. On the first launch, GameGoblin asks you to connect a gaming platform before entering the library.
Step 2: Choose a platform
Choose Steam, PlayStation, RetroAchievements, or Xbox. The connection cards explain what each provider imports.
Step 3: Complete the provider sign-in
- Steam: Choose Sign in through Steam and complete sign-in in the system browser. Steam requires My Profile and Game details to be Public.
- PlayStation: Complete the sign-in in the system browser. Passwords and passkeys stay in the browser and are not entered into GameGoblin.
- RetroAchievements: Enter your RetroAchievements username and Web API key.
- Xbox: Choose Sign in with Microsoft and complete the Microsoft sign-in flow.
Step 4: Wait for the first sync
After the account is connected, GameGoblin starts synchronization. The first sync may take longer because it imports library records and loads available game details and achievement progress. You can see provider status and progress in Settings > Sync.
Main Areas
Home
Home shows your Tracked Unlocks total, lifecycle totals, connected provider cards, and Continue Playing. It is the default destination after a gaming account is connected.
Library
The Library contains Now Playing, Backlog, Wishlist, Done, and Ignored. Each section can have its own sort and platform filter. Wishlist also has Released and Unreleased filters.
Game Detail
Open a game to see artwork, catalog information, completion progress, achievements or trophies, release information, gallery artwork, and saved guides when available. Use Refresh Game for a targeted update.
Settings
Settings manages connected accounts, sync status, library and Home customization, Game Detail layout, achievement defaults, release reminders, Help, About, and data removal.
What Happens During the First Sync?
- Games already known to the provider are imported into the library.
- Unknown games normally begin in Backlog.
- Games with provider-confirmed completion can begin in Done.
- Recent play activity can move a game to Now Playing.
- Provider wishlists are mirrored into Wishlist where the provider supports a wishlist source.
- Catalog, artwork, release dates, and achievement details may arrive in later phases or later syncs.
Using GameGoblin on Multiple Devices
Use the same Apple Account and enable iCloud on your devices to synchronize your GameGoblin library, accounts, and supported presentation preferences. Synchronization may take time after connecting a new device or changing an account.
Some settings are intentionally device-local, including automatic refresh cadence, sync checkpoints, notification permission, and release-reminder enablement.
